Studio Tour of Gawain Weaver Art Conservation

Members are invited to a private tour of the state of the art new facility of Gawain Weaver Art Conservation in West Marin.  The owner, Gawain Weaver, will discuss the extensive retrofitting of an existing 5000 square foot building to accommodate the unique needs of a thriving photography conservation practice. The staff - including an international intern who lives on site - will also be on hand to present on several of their current and recent projects, including treatment of deteriorated cellulose acetate negatives and treatment of Ansel Adams gelatin silver prints.

After the tour, those with more time are invited to meet up at the nearby local eatery, Rancho Nicasio, for conversation, cocktails, and/or a bite to eat.
